Territory Sales Manager - Austin, TX
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for the Austin, TX area. In this role, you will sell products for a manufacturer and distributor to business, industrial establishments, and individual clients. You will work in various settings such as sales offices, stores, and showrooms, focusing on building relationships and driving sales.

- Public Speaking: Conduct meetings and deliver presentations to groups.
- Report Writing: Write reports and various types of correspondence.
- Customer Satisfaction: Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate activities and services to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead Generation: Compile lists of potential customers based on sources such as business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites, and other resources.
- Customer Outreach: Travel within the assigned territory to meet with existing and potential customers to solicit orders.
- Product Demonstration: Display and demonstrate products, using samples and catalogs, highlighting key features.
- Quoting & Contracts: Provide price quotes, negotiate credit terms, and prepare sales contracts.
- Delivery Estimates: Estimate delivery dates based on production schedules.
- Reporting & Expense Tracking: Maintain records of business transactions and manage expense accounts.
- Account Management: Collaborate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and product literature up to date.
- Customer Training: Coordinate customer training programs.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer issues related to deliveries.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or at least four years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of both.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to travel by air within and outside the assigned territory.
- Willingness to stay overnight as required by the position.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, and sit.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and feeling objects.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Involves physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Frequent exposure to heights over 4 feet.
- Specific vision requirements include good depth perception, minimal color discrimination, and visual acuity for driving.
- Occasional long work hours.
- Work environment is generally quiet.
