About the Job
The client seeks a Test Architect to support the Capital Markets Global FX team in modernizing testing and automation efforts for Wealth Management products. This role focuses on developing the test automation strategy, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate has extensive software engineering and testing experience, a strong grasp of financial and trading systems, and expertise in multi-tiered enterprise architecture. The role requires hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber), Core Java, RESTful APIs, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with DevOps (Jira, Azure DevOps), SDLC, Agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
• 10+ years of software engineering & testing experience
Must-Have:
• Familiarity with Banking/Financial domain & Trading Lifecycle
• Experience in multi-tiered, complex system design & architecture
• Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Positive & adaptable; Multi-task in a continually changing environment
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners
• Aptitude for understanding large, complex, multi-tiered enterprise architecture
• Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices
• Automation expertise including Selenium, TestNG, CA DevTest & Cucumber
• Strong Core Java, SQL, MarkLogic, RESTful APIs & Pivotal Cloud Foundry experience
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes)
• Experience in Jira & Azure DevOps tools
• Proficiency in test data and environment management
• Previous work in both mainframe & distributed systems
• Variety of technologies: HTTPS, SFTP, HTML, JSP, XML, JSON, CSS, MQ, Kafka
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Technical leadership & innovation for Wealth Management test strategy
• Advance product quality via testing innovations and process improvement
• Collaborate with BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applications
• DevOps initiatives in collaboration with Development, Business & Testing partners
• Efficient delivery of Wealth Management Capabilities via test automation activities
• Promote and support the implementation of the CI/CT/CD pipeline
• Develop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices, Mobile & API
• Recommend new tools, techniques & methods for enhancing automation productivity
• Resolve technical issues, anticipate risks & ensure timely management escalation
• Work with Test Capabilities Engineers to leverage existing assets and develop new ones
• Analysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suites
• Work with stakeholders to plan, estimate & implement test automation
• Ensure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices
• Facilitate automated, on-demand test automation metrics
• Conduct test design reviews
• Seek stakeholder feedback via test automation demos
