Role Summary:

In this role, you’ll be part of the team that develops automated test solutions for Rivian’s electrical hardware including Level 3+ ADAS, telematics, infotainment, battery management, and vehicle control systems. Our team’s solutions include internal-facing software, low-level firmware, data management platforms, and custom electromechanical hardware. These solutions get deployed internally within Rivian and at external labs and contract manufacturing facilities.

 

You’ll be an individual contributor with a multi-disciplinary role at the interface between test automation software and hardware. You’ll work on developing test automation solutions for design characterization, validation, and manufacturing. The primary responsibility of this role is to own the technical aspects of one or more test automation projects, from requirements gathering to successful deployment, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Design modular and reusable automated test equipment (ATE) by leveraging hardware frameworks, custom parts, as well as off-the-shelf instrumentation.
• Work with cross-functional engineering groups to define test requirements and system definitions from schematics and block diagrams
• Design custom test PCBAs to interface with automotive ECUs
• Design rack-based test systems that integrate PCBAs and off-the-shelf equipment to create modular test solutions for the latest automotive technologies
• Create well documented diagrams, bills of materials, and standard operating procedures for test automation systems
• Collaborate with internal teams during purchasing, station build, integration and final commissioning
• Work with technicians to communicate requirements and ensure proper implementation
• Own test system documentation

Qualifications:Pay Disclosure:

Salary Range for California Based Candidates: $137,800.00 - $172,200.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
