Test Cell Technician
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Test Cell Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. As an integral member of our team, you will support the testing and validation processes for a range of systems and components.
We are searching for individuals with a positive "can-do" attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and robust technical skills. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, collaborating closely with our engine build team, and maintaining seamless coordination of responsibilities throughout the testing process.
Responsibilities:
Test Cell Setup and Execution - Prepare and configure test cells according to specified parameters and project requirements. Execute testing procedures outlined in project specifications, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
Equipment Maintenance and Calibration - Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and install testing equipment, ensuring proper documentation of all activities. Assemble instrumentation and ancillaries on test engines and modify dynamometer test setups as needed.
Data Collection and Analysis - Collect data during testing activities, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Assist Test and Design Engineers in the execution of testing plans and support test data collection, storage, and issuance of test reports.
Mechanical and Electrical Support - Debug mechanical, electrical, and software problems encountered during testing activities. Fabricate and/or assemble test rigs and tooling for engine components as required.
Overlap Responsibilities with Engine Build Team - Assemble test engines, including instrumentation and inspections, and maintain databases of component inventory and engine build logs. Finish and inspect engine components using hand and/or machine tools and perform tear-down and post-test inspections.
Qualifications:
Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a related field preferred.
Experience - Previous experience in a testing environment or related field. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and assembly skills.

- Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with instrumentation and calibration procedures is advantageous.
