Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer to support the setup of a complex aerospace program. The role involves identifying operational testing needs, strategic planning, and ensuring a safe, efficient testing environment. Collaborate with multiple teams to troubleshoot, resolve test issues, and implement process improvements.
Key Duties:
- Identify operational testing needs and execute strategic plans.
- Manage Manufacturing Test Engineering Statement of Work (SOW).
- Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test issues.
- Create shop aid tooling and analyze performance.
- Support quality in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Required Experience:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Authoring test procedures and plans for air vehicle systems.
- Identifying and operating specialized test equipment.
- Wire harness installation and integration.
- Aircraft sub-systems assembly and integration.
- Authoring work instructions and planning.
- Hands-on production floor support.
- Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of flight line operations and ground support activities.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Effective technical presentations to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with development/prototype support.
- Jet engine integration and maintenance familiarity.
- Conducting safety briefs/huddles before testing.
- Understanding of aircraft system operation at an IPT level.
- Experience testing prototype air vehicles.
- Manufacturing Engineer experience.
- 3DX and Catia V5 software usage.
- STEM degree.
