Job Position: Test Engineer

Location: Troy, MI 48084

Pay Rate: $32.00/hour

Job Description:

•Perform Standard and Advanced Comfort Lab Testing

•Working basic knowledge of the in-vehicle comfort tests

•Become Technical Lead for most test equipment

•Document test results and generate/review/approve test reports

•Understand data acquisition, equipment, protocols and data analysis.

•Learn/develop/perform advanced testing by using robot and advanced loading equipment.

•Verify test set up and perimeters on all tests to make sure specs are being met.

•Develop new methods to streamline processes/procedures

•Train other technicians on operating testing equipment / procedures

•Review and implement improvements to processes/procedures as needed

•Communicate with management any updates/concerns/needs for lab

•HS&E responsibility

•Maintain and promote 5S in all working environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering/Technical degree required and 3 or more years’ experience in laboratory or development environment

• Demonstrable aptitude for science, mathematics and statistics

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Mid-level skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Ability to perform tasks and generate results with minimum supervision

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• CNC knowledge/3d Printer experience is a plus.

• Ability to perform hands on testing required
