Job Title: Test Project Manager
Location: Holloman AFB, NM (On-Site)
Canvas is seeking a Test Project Manager to support the 846th Test Squadron and its Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) mission! This position is contingent upon award.
Duties:
- Negotiate and decompose technical customer test requirements into an effective WBS.
- Optimally schedule project activities and create cost and schedule baselines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
- Assess project status against cost & schedule baselines using Earned Value Management and other technical and financial analyses.
- Communicate project status to high level stakeholders via briefings and written reports.
- Understand and communicate technical engineering information to stakeholders across various disciplines, both verbally and in writing.
- Create and archive accurate and timely test documentation including contract documents, test plans, safety plans, security plans, launch orders, mission reports, etc.
- Work with and motivate team members across diverse functional areas.
- Respond effectively to rapidly changing situations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience desired. *Years of experience may be substituted for education requirement, per customer approval.
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Project highly desirable).
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior staff and peers.
- Communications must be clear, concise, and at the appropriate level.
- Work must be timely, efficient, and of acceptable quality, with completed work meeting project/program objectives.
- Personal and organizational interactions must exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.
- Must adhere to all safety and security requirements.
- Holloman High Speed Test Track experience desired.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; active Secret clearance desired.
Other Essential Job Functions:
Candidate may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
