Position Summary The Test Technician is responsible for performing acceptance testing and diagnostic troubleshooting on electronic and RF-based equipment. Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility Assumes full responsibility of acceptance testing activities for one or more product lines per released procedures. Adapts to different test levels from lower level assemblies (Digital, Analog and RF) to box and system level. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans from Engineering to perform routine testing, check-out and troubleshooting functions. Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specifications. Calibrate and align RF and digital circuit as required per Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP). Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level and conducts repairs if instructed. Conducts defined tests and collects data as assigned. Performs final verification of product and paperwork associate with the final product. Able to work with PCs and applications such as MS Windows suite and other related software. Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 (two) years technical or vocational education in electronics and communications or a minimum of at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in the requested subject of expertise. Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and mechanical blue prints. Great with numbers, detail oriented and strong organizational skills. Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Test or Electronic Technician for an electronics manufacturing company in an aviation or communications related field is a plus. IPC or J STD solder certification. Physical Demands Lifting of production assemblies and commercial test equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. may be required.
