Test Technician in Chesapeake, VA
Shift: 1st Shift, 08:00AM-05:00PM
Pay Rate: $29.00/hr. on W2.
Description:
Under Limited supervision performs a wide variety of technical efforts including processes, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs RF equipment.
Performs tests and utilizes various engineering drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks.
May also work on Analog, Digital and High Voltage circuits as well. Observes, analyzes and reports test data. Performs tests and utilizes various engineering drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks.
Ideal candidate would know:
Performed acceptance testing and measurements on electronic components and assemblies to verify system compliance.
Tested various types of test equipment using microscopes, oscilloscopes, multimeters, voltage calibrators, spectrum analyzers and other laboratory instruments.
Maintained system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
Operated as a radio technician and main technician for COMSEC radios.
Collaborated with others to work on and use radio transmitters, receivers.
Trained others on how to properly operate and troubleshoot the equipment.
Expertise with RF equipment and operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
4-6 Year Experience testing RF circuitry. Ability to read and interpret drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.
Experience using a wide variety of electronic RF/Analog, High Voltage, Digital and other electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters .
Must be familiar with various test equipment, general purpose and program specific test stations.
Required Education: High School or equivalent

Education & experience:
HS Diploma or an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 4 years of relevant experience in Electronics, Military training in electronic testing / troubleshooting, or equivalent experience / education in testing processes.
