DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Ensure that products perform correctly
Perform tests on manufactured products.
Assemble equipment.
Calibrate equipment.
Improve equipment.
Maintain equipment
Give reports on defects.
Qualifications/Education:
Associate of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field.
This position is required to conduct microbial tests of food products and environmental samples using established Campbell’s protocols under the guidance of the supervisor.
This position is required to follow established protocols for maintaining and testing stock cultures under the guidance and direction of the supervisor.
Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Safety / Microbiology, Biology, Microbiology, or equivalent.
Years of relevant experience: minimum of 1 year of experience in a microbiology laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires the candidate to be capable of following directions and being fully responsible for work performed.
This position requires proven skills at bench microbiology with good aseptic technique.
This position requires the ability to understand, apply, and communicate microbiology principles to lab management.
This position requires the candidate to be computer literate with the ability to work in Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
This position requires the candidate to be detail oriented, well organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and work effectively, both individually and in team settings.
This position requires great problem solving skills.
Preferred theoretical knowledge in molecular biology and immunology; PCR and ELISA technology.
This position requires occasional evening and weekend coverage to meet business objectives.
This position requires the candidate to be flexible and work with changing priorities and timelines.
This position will be created due to headcount concerns
We are losing a headcount in the Camden lab due to a departure and backfill of that role
This position will be used as a possible temp to hire to fulfill staffing needs in the Camden, NJ laboratory.
MAX BILL RATE OF $36/hr
100% ONSITE IN CAMDEN, NJ 5 days a week
They have a new opening on the team and they need to backfill with a CW in Camden, NJ
Position will be onsite in Camden, NJ hours will be 1st shift 730330 or 8430pm.
There is potential OT if needed to support weekends or special events as needed
Some weekends possible for overflow, special projects, events, plant support
On a daily basis: General lab tech responsibilities, testing samples, making sure the lab is operating properly, making lab media
will accept candidates from pharma as long as they have the aseptic technique skills, biochemical assays, will be trainable if working in a previous plant/lab setting.
1+ years of experience is great!
Must Have: computer skills and working with analytical equipment a lot of computer and lab software LIMS experience would be nice to have
Trainable if they don't have it.
Virtual Interview via MS Teams with manager Adam Powell and Trix Contreras initially and then a secondary interview in person for onsite tour
A chance to meet the manager and potential team members
Ideally the week of 11/4 is perfect for interviews
Friday 11/1, 11/1111/12 Adam will be out of pocket and not available to interview.

Must have 1 year experience in a micro lab.
Aseptic technique and benchwork experience is a plus.
Must be flexible to work weekends and offshift hours when needed.
