Job Description
As a key thought leader and resource for THG, the Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (S+M&A) team is charged with executing new platform investments, add-on acquisitions for portfolio companies and value creation initiatives across the THG portfolio. Team members have backgrounds in private equity, investment banking, business operations, knowledge sharing, and strategy consulting. The Heritage Group's philosophy is that our greatest asset is our people. Our S+M&A team places a strong emphasis on both personal and professional development. The Summer Analyst Intern will support a variety of work stream in the Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (S+M&A) group. This role is designed for a motivated "self-starter" who will assist team members primarily with company and industry research, financial analysis, and the development of a proprietary knowledge management system.
Essential Functions

The Heritage Group Internship Program provides hands-on, paid experiences in a corporate function or within one of our many operating companies. Interns can expect to network with other students and professionals, gain useful skills, receive mentoring, and make their own contributions to the organization. Additionally, interns can participate in our weekly hosted events focused on professional development, team building, and community service.
Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc.

Essential Functions
- Research topics, trends, and opportunities identified by stakeholders.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of a knowledge management platform, including content discovery, collection, and curation from various sources.
- Work on the adoption and integration of AI tools, assisting in identifying use cases and supporting implementation.
- Monitor content quality and structure of the knowledge platform, gather user feedback, and assist in developing plans for platform improvements.
- Engage in new investment opportunities, including financial analysis, industry research, market analysis, and other due diligence activities.
- Contribute to strategic value creation initiatives within the THG portfolio.
- Assist with special projects for THG's executive team.
- Required High School or Equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree : Current sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field.
- Unquestionable level of integrity.
- Naturally inclined to put the team before personal interests.
- High standards, delivering work products with minimal or no mistakes.
- Proactive in determining next steps and recommending courses of action.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong market and industry research skills.
- Capable of mining and analyzing large amounts of data.
