Position Summary
As a Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist at Anthony's Villa, you will play a pivotal role in delivering targeted, community-based treatment to youth and their families. Your primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive MST assessments, engaging with families and key stakeholders, and implementing therapeutic interventions aligned with MST principles. This position demands a high level of collaboration, meticulous documentation, and a commitment to therapeutic excellence to achieve transformative outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- MST Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations including review of referral details, identification and engagement of essential participants, analysis of systemic strengths and weaknesses, and assessment of the ecological context of behaviors.
- Family and Stakeholder Engagement: Actively involve primary caregivers and significant stakeholders in intensive, change-oriented treatment, addressing any barriers to participation.
- Therapeutic Planning and Intervention: Develop and implement detailed treatment plans using the MST Analytic Process, encompassing problem conceptualization, strategic interventions, and ongoing outcome evaluations.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain precise and accessible treatment records that facilitate peer and supervisory review and demonstrate adherence to MST principles and compliance requirements.
- Collaborative Practice: Work closely with all relevant systems and stakeholders to secure their cooperation and support throughout the treatment process.
- Direct Clinical Treatment: Provide direct therapeutic services employing techniques consistent with MST standards and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Current Licensure: Must possess an unrestricted LSW, LPC, or LMFT license in the state of Ohio.
- Educational Background: Holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in clinical counseling of youth and families, with a preference for expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, strategic family therapy, and behaviorally-based treatments.
- Teamwork and Independence: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting and to operate independently.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Professional Development: Committed to continuous professional growth and strict adherence to the MST model.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary, as this role requires frequent travel to client homes and community locations.
