About the Job
We are looking for a caring and competent Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with a CHT certification. This is to support our patients with upper extremity and hand therapies in our busy PT/Occupational clinics.You will be responsible for examining, evaluating, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and providing prognoses for our amazing patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:PhilosophySupports SROSM values, mission, goals, and objectives.Follows SROSM standards for ethical business conduct.Recognizes patients rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties.Supports and adheres to SROSM's super culture.DutiesFocus will be working with patients with upper extremity and hand issues.Provide educational information about physical therapy, injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote health Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.Focus on the evaluation of strength, balance, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and posture of each patient.Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.Administer manual exercises, massage and/or traction to help relieve pain, increase the patient's strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.Work as a team with a variety of other professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapy assistants and technicians; all with the goal of reaching maximal patient functional independence.Understands medical practice policies/procedures, regulations, safety/injection control, and quality assurance requirements.Provides and/or recommends equipment or supplies for home use and gives instruction of an in-home treatment program to facilitate rehabilitation to promote independence in care.Identifies physical, social, and psychological needs of the patient.Collaborates with patient, caregivers, family members, and other healthcare professionals in planning discharge from rehabilitation services.Confers and communicates with referring physicians and other appropriate person through the use of progress notes, letters, evaluations, meetings, and direct contact concerning the proposed course, progress, and discharge plan of each patient.Provides clinical supervision to physical therapy staff regarding patient assessment and implementation of treatment plan.AttendancePrompt and consistent attendance is essential for the performance of this position.
