About the Job
You Are:
The Threat and Vulnerability Mgmt. Consultant will be vital in identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities across AFS corporate and project environments and will work closely with environment owners or responsible parties to ensure risk is addressed. The resource will be primarily responsible for reviewing vulnerability scan data from various tools and reporting formats for compliance and risks, tracking remediation, generating summary reports, as well as making severity recommendations and assisting with prioritization determinations. The resource will also work with cyber threat teams to monitor and report against emerging threats that pose risk across AFS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review vulnerability descriptions and understand corresponding risks
- Understand application and network architecture
- Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot configuration of scanning tools
- Track remediation actions to closure
- Process and convey technical details clearly and in a range of situations, both in writing and verbally.
- Communicate effectively and clearly, with relevant level of detail
- Collaborate with other teams effectively
Here's What You Need:
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of networks and IP addressing
- Previous experience with Windows based servers and workstations
- Previous experience with security vulnerabilities
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Security tools including Qualys, Tenable Nessus, Nmap
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in writing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple objectives with overlapping time constraints
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
- Relevant security certifications, including Security+
- Knowledge of NIST information security guidance
- Ability to research and quickly grasp unfamiliar information technologies.
- Linux OS and command line

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
