Lyra Technology Group is looking for a Tier II NOC Technician to join the team at one of our operating companies, Telco Experts. The Tier II NOC Technician is part of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in voice and data networking, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide exceptional support for voice and data issues. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your work as the Tier II NOC Technician includes several components:
• Analyze and resolve complex voice network issues escalated from Tier 1 support.
• Monitor voice network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting data network issues, including Ethernet, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
• Act as a point of escalation for customer-reported issues related to voice and data services.
• Provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders regarding the status of open issues.
• After a 60-day training period, added into the on-call rotation.
Our ideal Tier II NOC Technician has the following qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with individuals at all levels.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate at a customer-facing level.
o Including familiarization with IETF foundational RFCs related to SIP, RTP, TCP/IP, etc.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Willingness to continuously improve and update skills.
• Ability to create and update network diagrams and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Certifications (preferred, not required): CCNA, SSCA, LPIC or equivalent
