About the Job
TIRE & OIL SHOP ASSOCIATE IS AN ENTRY/TRAINING LEVEL POSITION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO DAILY TIRE & OIL SHOP DEPARTMENT JOBS WHILE GAINING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE FOR FURTHER ADVANCEMENT.Duties & Responsibilities:
Promote and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Maintain upkeep and general cleanliness of Tire & Oil Shop facility and equipment.
Assist with basic maintenance related to vehicle tire & oil functions.
Aid with assessments on vehicles based on visual inspection or verbal reports provided by customer or sales counter.
Maneuver vehicles as requested by Supervisors to workstations and back to customer parking.
Maintain appropriate records of vehicle keys and information as needed.
Communicate with Sales and Supervisors to maintain up to date status of work orders.
Complete necessary reporting documents (as needed).
Collaborate with fellow Tire & Oil Shop employees to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates the ability to maintain a positive attitude throughout challenging tasks.
Develop professional verbal and written communication skills.
Develop strong customer service skills and experience.
Develop strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Develop excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve mechanical issues.
Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.
Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.
Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.
Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss work orders and assigned tasks.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs and ability to learn programs as needed.
Must be available to work overtime hours when needed.
