Landscape Products Inc. is seeking an experienced Process Technician to join our team. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by ensuring equipment is operating efficiently, assisting in process optimization, and maintaining high-quality production standards. This role involves hands-on work with machinery, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with engineers and production staff to enhance overall manufacturing performance. The ideal candidate should have technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a technician role.
- 2-3 years of injection molding and equipment maintenance experience.
- Experience with operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a manufacturing or workshop setting.
Exposure to loud noise, dust, and potential hazards from machinery.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection is required.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure it is running efficiently and producing quality products.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to prevent downtime.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of manufacturing machinery.
Process Monitoring and Improvement:
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Document and report any deviations or defects found during inspections.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Work with engineers and maintenance staff to resolve technical problems.
- Suggest and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and process changes.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, production metrics, and quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding process status and issues.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
