About the Job
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all tasks assigned by management.
Service and repair tools and associated equipment in line with production requirements
Ensure that tooling is serviced and set up to the correct specification, available for
production with all necessary equipment and fittings in line with planning requirements
Control of spare parts and materials to maintain tooling to the specified requirements
Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met
Order spare parts and materials to maintain the service to production
Develop processes, including trialing of new molds, in conjunction with project manager
Train personnel to carry out the duties required within the department
Participate in meetings as required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Thorough understanding of plastic injection molding processing equipment and materials
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with a strong work ethic and emphasis on quality
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through problem solving
methods
Self-motivated team player with a high level of reliability
Experience with tooling and Plastic injection molding machines
Experience interfacing with product engineering, operations, manufacturing engineering and supplier
Must have advanced statistical, manufacturing, and engineering knowledge
Work will be in an office environment - may be exposed to noise when working in
production areas and at customer or supplier locations as required
Ability to work weekends or during shutdown
