HR Fusion has an IMMEDIATE opening for a TOOL ROOM TECHNICIAN.
This great career opportunity is full time and will be a 2nd shift position.
What will you get to do in this role?
This position(Tool & Die) will be responsible for supporting the procurement of new and replacement Injection molding tools and trial runs of new molds/dies, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of all molds & dies. The candidate should be well versed in the operation of basic tool room equipment. Additionally desired specialization skill sets include, operate various welding equipment, TIG, MIG, ARC, and laser software.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
· Uses tools and dies to build fixtures; creates dies as required to construct new fixtures.
· Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired.
· Reads and understands blueprints and complicated schematics as required to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
· Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality.
· Regularly tests all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
· Modifies machines to control speed, material feed, or path of cut as required to ensure a quality product is produced within specifications.
· Plan and organize between shift and weekend work, including verification, for smooth operations.
· Assist the Tool & Die Supervisor in developing PMs and procedures for maintaining all of the equipment in the shop.
· Implement and modify PM documents, schedules, and activities under the direction of the Tool & Die Supervisor.
· Provide effective direction, coaching, and training to fellow employees on shift to boost their skill sets, and help production achieve their goals.
· Manage Tool/Die consumables, and spare part inventory.
· Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
What experience/skills/education do you need to qualify for this role?

· Must have valid driver’s license
· Weld, operate various welding equipment, TIG, MIG, ARC, Laser
· Some basic processing knowledge
· Safety and Team oriented mind set
· Basic electrical knowledge
· Be able to use all hand tools/ grinder’s, drill press.
· Ability to create and read blueprints to create specialized tools and molds
· Overhear crane experience, minimum 2 years of experience
· Mechanical experience (previous job related)
· Fabrication experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $33.60 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
