Job Details:
- Design and Development:
- Utilize CATIA to create detailed designs of tooling and fixtures according to aerospace industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design concepts for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manufacturing Support:
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, collaborating with machinists, technicians, and suppliers to ensure accurate fabrication of tooling components.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation to facilitate production and assembly.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality standards and procedures for tooling inspection and testing to ensure compliance with aerospace regulations and safety guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements in tooling design and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated on advancements in aerospace technology, materials, and manufacturing techniques to incorporate into tooling designs.
- Project Management:
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion of tooling development projects.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, including engineering teams, management, and clients.
Required:
- Bachelors degree is highly preferred but candidates without a degree may be considered if they have years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- CATIA is a must-have
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, composite tooling, additive manufacturing), and industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is advantageous.
