Key Responsibilities
Design and develop tooling solutions for various manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tooling requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies for new tooling designs and modifications.
Optimize existing tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Create and maintain technical documentation related to tooling designs and specifications.
Evaluate and troubleshoot tooling issues throughout the production process.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in tooling operations.
Assist in the selection and procurement of tooling equipment and materials.
Train production staff on the proper use and maintenance of tooling.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
Perform root cause analysis on tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to meet product specifications.
Monitor tooling performance metrics and report findings to management.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for tooling equipment.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tooling technologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tooling design and development.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, or stamping.
Knowledge of materials and their properties relevant to tooling.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Understanding of quality control principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
