Job DescriptionSummary:
Training is a 12 month program to provide skilled individuals the opportunity to gain experience and skill set to perform all aspects of Full time Tooling Repair Technician. Upon entering the Tooling Repair Technician program, the following training should be reviewed and agreed upon by Program Owner(s) and Trainees.
QualificationsQualifications:
- In good performance and attendance standing before entering program
- Must be able to work all shift as follows, during training, placed in full-time position
- Must be able to cover shift needs for team as needed
- Show a commitment to the program
- Engaged in every aspect of training
- Open to receiving and providing feedback
- Demonstrate ability to work safely when interacting with all shop equipment
- Demonstrate previous mechanical experience
- Machining experience a plus
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience required
- Must possess excellent communication skills, mathematical skills, and reasoning ability
- Must possess computer skills as required based on business requirements
- Must commit to completion of required college coursework and external vendor training courses
- Use PPE, including but not limited to: Safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, insulating gloves, long sleeves, welding gloves, welding hood, welding sleeves, and welding jacket.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, kneel, bend, stoop & reach
- Ability to stand for long periods of time is essential
- Frequent Walking
- Must be able to push & pull molds w/mechanical help
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
