About the Job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Program and build molds to support production and prototyping.
- Create Numerical Control programs from solid models using Computer Aided Drafting and Computer Aided Manufacturing software.
- Creates solid prototypes to test engineering concepts.
- Advises Engineering or Mold Center on concepts in regards to machining capabilities.
- Makes fixtures or tools as needed for Production or Quality Control areas.
- Carries out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machine, band saw, or other equipment.
- Schedule equipment repairs from outside technical sources as needed.
- Assist machinists and machine operators.
- Responsible for the effective performance of the above stated responsibilities.
- Accountable for the prudent stewardship of department assets and their proper risk management.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Two-year Machine Technologies Degree; or six plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities
Proficient at creating NC programs from 3D models as well as prints. Must have good hand/eye coordination and strong attention to detail.
