Position Overview: As a Pipefitter Journeyman, you will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of various marine piping systems such as Auxiliary Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, and Engine Exhaust systems
You will work according to specifications, NAVSEA/Military standards, and other regulatory standards like ABS and Military Sealift Command.

Position Overview: As a Pipefitter Journeyman, you will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and testing of various marine piping systems such as Auxiliary Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, and Engine Exhaust systems
You will work according to specifications, NAVSEA/Military standards, and other regulatory standards like ABS and Military Sealift Command.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove, repair, target, fabricate, and install marine piping systems in accordance with regulatory standards
- Use equipment such as table saws, pipe threading machines, bending machines (power and hand-operated), drill presses, and brazing equipment
- Perform blanking and pressure testing of tanks (structural boundary testing)
- Interpret and follow instructions, drawings, and work item specifications
- Provide direction and guidance to helpers and improvers as assigned by the supervisor
- 5-10 years of experience in pipefitting, with at least 6 years of experience in maritime pipefitting
- Strong knowledge of P-73 joint fit-up and Silver Brazing theory
- Ability to certify in:
- MT Braze (B-1)
- MT Braze (B-2)
- Thorough understanding of marine pipe fabrication, repair processes, and targeting
- Capable of interpreting drawings, specifications, and Navy/MSC/ABS standard items and manuals
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and familiarity with both U.S
customary and metric measurement systems - Physically and medically capable of wearing all required PPE, including hard hats, respirators, safety harnesses, and other safety gear as per OSHA standards
