We are seeking a dedicated Tower Lighting NOC Technician to provide 24x7x365 monitoring and support, ensuring compliance with FAA/FCC notification requirements for tower lighting systems. This role is critical to maintaining the safety and functionality of our communication infrastructure and involves real-time troubleshooting, tracking, and escalation of issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor alarm activity from remote communications sites to ensure compliance with FAA/FCC regulations.
- Open, track, and close Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) reports with the FAA.
- Manage NOC trouble tickets, collaborating with regional teams for issue resolution.
- Answer incoming calls and monitor email accounts, acting according to NOC procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling building and site security.
- Work closely with field personnel to verify repairs and testing of lighting alarm systems.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and configuration support for tower monitoring and lighting systems.
- Notify, dispatch, and escalate network faults and emergencies in line with MLA, SLA, FAA/FCC, and NOC protocols.
- Serve as the first point of contact for landowners, outside vendors, and emergency service responders.
- Collaborate with other NOCs and technicians during tower repairs, outages, and service interruptions.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior customer service and/or service dispatch experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment is preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Comfortable working on a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $18-23/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
