Overview:
As a Toxicologist, you will play a crucial role in conducting research and analysis to assess the potential adverse effects of chemicals, drugs, or other substances on human health and the environment. You will be responsible for providing expert toxicological advice and support for regulatory compliance and product safety assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and conducting toxicology studies to evaluate the safety of chemicals and products
Interpreting and analyzing toxicological data to determine potential hazards and risks
Preparing toxicological risk assessments and reports for regulatory submissions
Providing toxicology expertise to cross-functional teams to support product development
Evaluating and staying current with toxicological research and regulations
Communicating toxicological findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
Contributing to the development and implementation of toxicology testing strategies
Participating in toxicological reviews and assessments of new substances and products
Collaborating with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with toxicology regulations
Managing and overseeing toxicology studies conducted by external laboratories
Providing toxicology training and guidance to junior staff and colleagues
Participating in industry and scientific forums to stay updated on toxicology trends and best practices
Contributing to the development and improvement of toxicological testing methods and techniques
Supporting the resolution of toxicology-related issues and inquiries
Ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in all toxicology activities
Required Qualifications:
PhD or Master's degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related field
Proven experience in conducting toxicology studies and risk assessments
Thorough understanding of toxicological principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
Strong knowledge of toxicological databases, modeling tools, and software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Experience in providing toxicology support for regulatory submissions and compliance
Proficiency in interpreting and summarizing complex toxicological data
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to stay updated with evolving toxicology trends and regulations
Publication record in toxicology-related scientific journals is preferred
Detail-oriented and meticulous approach to toxicology assessments and reports
Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and compliance standards
Ability to mentor and train junior toxicology staff
