Responsible for assuming end to end responsibility of a product or line. Oversees all aspects of the products life cycle from concept through market availability, midlife change, and ultimate withdrawal from the market (SKU rationalization). Influences all related departments of the organization in the functions of product development and enhancements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: include the following but not limited to:
• Oversees the new product process, from inception to development under the direction of the Director of Marketing.
• Coordinates volume estimates, profit expectations, product specifications of all incoming requests.
• Possesses an interest and understanding of bread product trends in all segments serviced by the company.
• Comprehends and contributes to marketing and brand objectives and how to achieve these through product development.
• Comprehends and contributes input on where and how new products fit into the company’s overall product line portfolio.
• Maintains market and competitive intelligence data and applies products against new market opportunities.
• Conducts financial analysis of new and existing products to ensure they are meeting profit expectations.
• Assists sales in customer research to understand and recommend proper product usage and application.
• Manages the stage/gate process of new product development, creating roadmaps for products once approved as viable.
• Involved in forecasting of current and existing product sales so that proper resources are aligned for production and customer service.
• Demonstrates ability to work with and coordinate the contributions from sales, marketing, operations and R&D, customer service and accounting throughout the product life cycle.
• Oversees the market launch of new products, from submission of data and product information, including specifications, features, and benefits, etc. to the Merchandising ad Graphics team for collateral material design.
• Oversees communication of any new developments in products, including reductions, to the field sales group.
• Coordinates components for new Module presentations - Product detail and specs, pricing, labels, handling, samples, etc.
• Follows up on accepted items, revisions to forms, packaging and revisions to product requiring R&D revisions.
• Manages new product phase including setting up SKU's, packaging development, set up forms.
• Works with the Director of Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy and communicating the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
• Centrally accumulates competitive and handle its dissemination to the rest of the

• Participates and contributes to the department’s the development, implementation and monitoring of strategies designed to promote company and to retain its clientele.
• Monitor performance by conducting regular reviews and develop qualified individual to assume greater levels of authority and responsible.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
• Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
• As an employee you must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum BS with 5 years marketing experience with a consumer goods or equivalent.
• Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills with good interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Bi-lingual a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals possessing various degrees of technical expertise. Bilingual a plus.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation
