About the Job
A financial services firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Trading Assistant - Options in their New York City office.
Responsibilities:
- Working with trading teams to process trade execution across the trade lifecycle
- Working in a team environment that closely integrates trading, technology and operational excellence
- Working with the trading desk to manage risk breaks, assist with executions and middle office functions
- Automating operational workflows and partnering with developers and technology teams to architect, build, and deliver robust platforms to reduce manual overhead and risk
- Developing robust processes to aid in the deployment of new trading capabilities
- Coordinating with developers to help with releases and testing for new software
- Coordinating efforts with Trading, Technology, Compliance and Operations teams to ensure
- smooth expansion and day to day operation of the business
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from a top tier university in economics, business administration, computer science, engineering, finance, mathematics, physics or a related field
- 2 to 4 years experience
- Foundational knowledge of OTC markets
- Experience interfacing with trading and technology systems
- Process driven approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across multiple groups
- A highly analytic mentality and a rigorous attention to deal
