Trailer Mechanic B - Reyes Holdings

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a Trailer Mechanic B for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers.





Shift: Full-Time l 4X10's- Monday -Thursday 2:30PM-1:00AM-OFF Friday-Sunday!!

Position Responsibilities:



+ The Trailer Upfitting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets within the Company


+ As a Trailer Upfitting Technician, you will assist with diagnosing and detailed inspections of complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software


+ You will complete thorough documentation of work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system


+ You will install trailer refrigeration, heating units, and external graphics as well as perform basic welding, metal cutting, and installation of hydraulic liftgate components


+ Other duties as assigned




Required Skills and Experience:



+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience  


+ Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles


+ Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)



Preferred Education and Experience:



+ Technical School Certification
