Starting pay is $24-$32 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Description:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lowboy trailers
- Service, repair and diagnose brakes, suspension, axles and electrical systems
- Move trailers throughout the property
- Operate specialized tooling and vehicles
- Maintain proficiency on equipment and technologies that enhance our productivity
- Properly document all equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations into electronic maintenance program/completion of paperwork.
- Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized
- Interact in a respectful and professional manner with drivers and shop management
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Availability to work dayshift or second shift
- 3 years of verifiable experience in trailer repair and maintenance
- A valid driver's license
- Air Brakes certification
- Basic hand tools required for heavy duty trailer maintenance
- Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic, teamwork Mindset and great character
It'd be great if you also have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Diesel tech school diploma
- Previous or current ASE certifications
- Class A CDL
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional shop/yard environment. Frequent exposure to the elements (such as dust, dirt, rain,) and chemicals (such as fumes and fluids) occur during operation of construction and agricultural equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc. This position will utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printer/copiers.
