Summary: Join our HR team as a Training Coordinator! In this role, you'll support the Training Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing employee training and development programs, with a key focus on the sales department. You'll handle training logistics and assist in creating training materials to help our teams thrive. This is an on-site role, based at our Waukegan, IL headquarters, requiring in-office presence 5 days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with both the Training Manager and other training coordinators to develop and implement employee training programs that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives
- Manage logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, arranging for venues, coordinating with trainers, and managing training materials
- Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, course completion, and evaluations, and ensure compliance with training regulations
- Assist with the development of training materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments
- Conduct follow-up evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide administrative support to the Training Manager, including preparing reports, managing budgets, and maintaining training databases
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and development, and make recommendations for improvements to the training program
- Proficient in conducting live and remote training sessions, comfortable with public speaking and presenting content
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience as this role will primarily be training for the sales function, preferred
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and training program design, including the design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, learning management systems (LMS), and other training-related software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and also work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
