We are currently recruiting for a Certification Assistant to join our growing Learning & Organizational Development team based out of our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. The Training Database Assistant's primary role will be to provide administrative support to and management of our training database by entering all internal and external employee training records. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for:
- Obtaining training reports from external training providers
- Identifying when internal training records have been improperly submitted and support the submitter in understanding the correct process
- Providing reports to our internal and external customers on a routine and ad-hoc basis
- Providing certification cards to employees across the Company
- Maintaining employee training files (both hard copy and soft / electronic format)
- Tracking non-DOT and DOT Company drivers and related documentation
- Assisting in performing quality assurance on training materials and training systems
- Other support and special projects related to the Company’s training function
- Audit records to ensure employee stay up to date on trainings
- Audit incomplete training courses to ensure employees complete trainings before courses expire
- Assist with the Vehicle Program and keeping DLs, driving course and MVRs compliant
- Scheduling employees for training and certifications with third party administrators
- Maintaining and uploading new hire documents
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position:
- Expereince with data entry and / or administrative experience
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks and solve problems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced construction office environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong proficiency with computers, databases, and office software
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability to use databases, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience within the construction industry a plus

Additionally, candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates who are bi-lingual (English and Spanish speaking) may be given preference.
