About the Job
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining the standards of the organization’s talent by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment. Their duties include working closely with department heads and supervisors to determine areas for employee improvement, developing training courses for new and existing employees and establishing methods to track employee performance after the completion of training.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Develop programs and curriculum for employees of the organization for orientation and in-job training in collaboration with the Training Team.
- Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops for employees and develop appropriate modifications in collaboration with the Training Team.
- Collaborate with department leadership and the Training Team to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
- Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training.
- Ensure the compliance of the company’s employees to cooperate with standards and procedures during training sessions.
- Provide support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed.
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring for employees.
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding employee growth and struggles.
- Provide guidance to staff to assist them in understanding clients’ needs/diagnoses and enhance therapeutic skills.
- Represent the agency in interagency meetings, based on state needs.
- Prepare written reports required by the organization (progress reports, etc.).
- Provide/coordinate training on topics for staff.
- Review and provide feedback on written reports for clinical departments, based on state needs.
- Participate in initial and quarterly client case record review process to ensure case record compliance, based on state needs.
- Complete and maintain certifications, as required (e.g., CANS, ANSA, PCM, TBRI).
- Occasional travel (in and out of state) may be required.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2-4 years of combined previous experience working with youth in a mental health setting and providing training to adults.
