Summary/Objective:
The Training Director is a leader who works in the restaurant and is responsible for directing and overseeing the training and development of Team Members and leadership in the restaurant. The Training Director is responsible for leading a team of Trainers and Team Members who will ensure our guests receive the quality food and industry leading customer service that has come to be synonymous with the Chick-fil-A brand. The Training Director works closely with the Chief Operations Officer, the General Manager and leadership team to achieve excellence.
Essential Functions:
• Train all newly hired team members, current Team Members, Trainers, and other restaurant employees through teaching and demonstration using proper techniques and procedures per Chick-fil-A guidelines.
• Assure the continued training of all current Team Members and the retraining as needed.
• Staying current with new training procedures and developments to ensure that all new material and procedures are properly executed throughout the restaurant.
• Lead and oversee a group of Trainers and Team Members.
• Creation and implementation of training plans while using and maintaining a computerized training database.
• Tracking and reporting on the key metrics in your area of responsibility and creating training goals and plans.
• Monitoring “Customer Experience Monitor” (CEM) scores on a regular basis to better understand opportunities for execution improvement.
• Complete all required administrative paperwork.
• Conducting Trainer meetings on a regular basis and attending restaurant leadership meetings as necessary.
• Have open availability to work varied schedules on a full-time basis during daytime, evening, and Saturday operating hours (typically 5:30 a.m. through 10:30 p.m.) to meet the needs of the restaurant.
• Demonstrate and execute the fundamentals of the Chick-fil-A brand including our CORE 4 model, Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy, and Industry Leading Food Safety Processes.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic including use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and integers.
• Ability to accurately count money, make correct change, and accurately account for cash drawers.
• Safely and efficiently use, operate, and service kitchen equipment.

• Operating the POS system and other order taking technology at the front counter, in the drive-thru cockpit, or outside in the drive-thru.
• Coaching and demonstrating proper techniques and procedures.
• Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork by supporting the restaurant and team member positions as needed.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the brand and menu items.
• Perform other related duties when assigned.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead a team in quick-paced environments.
• Two years of fast casual restaurant experience is highly desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to complete various activities in the restaurant that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.

6. Work outside in heat, cold, or inclement weather, sometimes for prolonged periods while training or serving guests.
7. Carry, stoop, bend, twist, stretch, bend, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, reach forward, reach below knees, push, pull, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
8. Lift, move, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds at a time without assistance.
