TRAINING MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
Following project plans and guidance from the Head of Safety and Quality and the Quality Manager and utilizing innovative methods and advanced tools develop and present new and continuing education course material thereby positioning Comlux as an industry leader in aviation training.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for the instructional design of in-depth training courses (modules), including their delivery, development, regulatory compliance, standards, remedial, devices, handouts, outlines, agendas, syllabi and delivering feedback on the effectiveness of the course material.
· Remain current with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) as they relate to a Part 145 Repair Station.
· Remain Current with EASA Part 145 and other regulations relating to foreign approvals held by Comlux.
· Prepare for and participate in internal and 3rd party audits.
· Sustain AS9100/9110 certification standards for the Repair Station.
· Consult with Comlux Quality Assurance to remain current regarding other regulating authorities around the world.
· Consult airframe manufacturer’s technical data as required.
· Collaborates with all departments to obtain information required to develop training materials on all aspects of Comlux operations to include completions, maintenance and safety.
· Tailors training content based on trainee’s (employees, partners, or customers) specific needs.
· Contributes to team planning for both training and development schedules.
· Incorporates motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention.
· Builds training and train-the-trainer programs.
· Supports development of e-learning solutions.
· Ensures new training methodologies incorporated into training approach.
· Maintain records and prepare statistical reports to evaluate performance of trainer(s) and monitor the progress of trainees as appropriate.
· Maintain the Centrik training module database and ensure Comlux personnel are up to date and or scheduled for all training requirements.
· Ensures all training material is current.
· Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
· 10 years’ experience in an aviation-training role, preferably within the airline or Part 145 Repair Station industry.
· Qualification in Train the Trainer including experience in course design
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, Power point, etc. and able to use Multimedia as a training tool.
· Ability to develop and maintain a Learning Management System (LMS).
· High standard of written and spoken English and high levels of interpersonal skills
· Attention to Detail & Quality.
· Customer Service Oriented.
· Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
· Effective Communication.
· Must be able to multi-task within an ever-changing fast-paced working environment.
· Good Problem Solving and Decision Making.
