We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary
This posting is for two positions and will be filled at the level commensurate with the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
The Dominion Energy Virginia Training group is looking for a training specialist to join their team. Our training specialists are responsible for instructor-led and web-based training needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for supporting training programs for Power Generation and Power Delivery, as well as supporting other training efforts as needed. They create training materials that meet identified training objectives and comply with established development standards. The successful intermediate candidates will have experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and Articulate Storyline (or similar authoring software such as Adobe Captivate). The successful associate candidate will have experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Associate training specialist: 0-2 years of directly related experience
- Training specialist: 3+ years of previous directly-related experience.*
*Note: A partial year of work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.
- Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Strong attention to detail,
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to process information and questions quickly and develop answers,
- Expert in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Articulate Storyline (or similar authoring software such as Adobe Captivate) is preferred.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Discipline: Education, Adult Learning, or other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s).

This position is eligible for a 3/2 work schedule, 3 working days in the office and 2 telework days.
This position is eligible for a flex 9 schedule, working 9-hour shifts and receiving every other Monday or Friday off.
