About the Job
WESTconsin Credit Union, a leader among financial service providers, has an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist to join our internal Training Team.
As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, designing, and implementing product knowledge, service, sales and technical training for WESTconsin Credit Union; ensuring the course content, processes and delivery methods meet the needs of WESTconsin Credit Union; and evaluating and reporting on the overall effectiveness of the training programs.
This hybrid eligible position is based in Menomonie, WI requiring regular onsite office schedule. Incumbent must reside in WI or MN and ideally within 60 minutes of Menomonie.
Primary Responsibilities
- Creates, edits and updates all "new position" training materials, including, but not limited to, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, handout materials, simulations, reviews, and participant evaluations
- Delivers training using appropriate adult learning principles, instructional methods and techniques and ensures that each training program is delivered in a manner that will keep the attention of learners and will have the most positive and direct impact on performance
- Identifies and accommodates, where possible, special training needs
- Maintains current knowledge of key computer technologies; used in positions being trained or within the Training Department
- Creates job aids and other documentation related to application support
- Researches and evaluates training resources and supporting materials
- Works with compliance and policy/procedure experts to ensure all presentation materials are up-to-date and follow applicable regulatory compliance
- Assists with the investigation and resolution of training issues, including policy and process discrepancies and irregularities and recommends policy and procedure changes and additions
- Creates/maintains and uses course evaluation surveys to ensure and track transfer of training at multiple levels
- Determines, assigns, and monitors online training for new hires, all employees, and employees by position on an ongoing basis through the Learning Management System
- Designs and updates online training courses using vendor software
- Generates business correspondence and internal e-mails
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in related field preferred
- 3 years of related experience required
- Ability to design and implement effective training with strong presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
