JOB SUMMARY: This position provides training support to the Goodwill Career Pathways Institute at Goodwill Central Oklahoma. The Training Specialist-Mobile and Certificate is an expert in Goodwill programs, performs internal trainings, Goodwill certificate programs & technology, performs mobile trainings for partners and the community, and works with the supervisor to determine training needs for the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Promotes and Instructs Goodwill Career Pathways Institute and the certification programs offered.
· Educates clients on additional resources in the community to help overcome additional barriers and refer to other partner agencies for wrap around support services.
· Skilled at serving vulnerable, high-barrier populations.
· Maintains data tracker for clients served and reports that data to supervisor. Reports will include, but not be limited to weekly reports, monthly reports, and any other additional information as request
· Trainer for Certificate and Employment Programs including YEPP, REPP, VEPP, and JRP. (Youth, Re-entry, Veteran Employment Preparation Programs, and the Job Readiness Program).
· Responsible for facilitation of our Goodwill certificate and employment programs offered under OBPVS, GCPI, and approved Apprenticeships.
· Expert in the micro credential certificate programs: Employment Essentials, Call Center (Professional and Supervisor), Network Cabling, Workplace Computer Skills, Restaurant Management, Virtual Reality Forklift, National Retail Federation, Unarmed Security, and any additional courses added.
· Serves as the Lead Unarmed Security instructor and is CLEET certified. (Can obtain upon hire).
· Facilitator of workshops including but not limited to Cover Letters, Resumes, Basic Computers, and others for employees and the community.
· Provides training in the areas of MS Office, Google Apps, and Basic Computer skills.
· Facilitation of technology training on a rotating basis.
· Back-up support for Paycom Learning and troubleshooting as needed.
· Responsible for maintenance of the virtual classroom environment under the Google Classroom platform.
· Provides Mobile JCC training with partner organizations.
· Serves as a liaison with partner agencies to determine their training needs and provides this feedback to Workforce Development leadership.
· Develops training under the supervision of the Director of Training and Employment Programs.
· Works under the Begin at Home initiative to align with program goals to offer pathways to employment for both Goodwill employees or community to find employment opportunities, access to Apprenticeships, or other training.
· Ability to train in professional development areas for both Goodwill staff and the community.
· Documentation of training materials and submission of training support to other agencies as needed for compliance.
· Administration of training records.
· Performs assessment and reporting of results.
· Documents and reports tasks on behalf of the training unit.
· Participates in staff, inter-agency or other project coordinating meetings.
· Serves on committees as needed on behalf of Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma.
· Serves as a support trainer with on-boarding new staff to the department.
· Public speaking and teaching.
· Travel up to 60-90%.
· Drives the Mobile Training Unit and conducts training within the 37-county GCO area.
· Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
· Bachelor’s degree Required in Education, Business Administration, or related field.
· 3-5 years in a public speaking or teaching role.
· 2+ years in a training or supervisory role.
· 2+ years’ experience in working with MS Office 2013 & 2016.
· Clean driving record.
· Must have driver’s license and valid insurance.
· Ability to show credentials in areas requested to teach (certificate programs).
· Must be able to become CLEET certified.
· Experience in job development for individuals with multiple barriers to employment.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Apps, and Outlook as well as able to navigate the internet with ease.
· Must be able to work with children under the age of 18 without limitations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Must be able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
· Must be familiar with the local community support and training services.
· Must be effective at communicating vocational counseling and helping others shift behaviors toward gaining employment.
· Must provide support services by working with disabled/disadvantaged persons and assisting in the rehabilitation process of Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma.
· Must be able to operate and travel in the mini-bus and bus as an operator for extended periods.
· Must have above average computer skills in Microsoft, Google, and be able and willing to facilitate with ease.
· Must be able to successfully complete and maintain:
o CPR and 1st Aid Training

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Works in a climate controlled, office or retail environment most of the time.
· Travel in a mini-bus/bus 2-5x each week is required or training off-site on behalf of the organization.
· Low noise level.
· Travel to company locations as required.
· Works 40 hours per week or more with additional hours and weekends when required.
· May be required to work with individuals who have come from disadvantaging conditions including registered sex offenders, homeless, disabled, children, formerly incarcerated, veterans, and others. Training staff must be comfortable with the demographic served by Goodwill Central Oklahoma which is a second chance employer.
