8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for formulating training outlines and “one point” lessons utilizing the specialized knowledge of specific training needs and effectiveness of such methods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Training Specialist is responsible for all things pertaining to Training.
- It is the responsibility of all 8th Avenue employees to ensure product safety, legality, and quality requirements are met.
- Review confirmation with Supervisor to assure correct information is being issued.
- Review and maintain Alchemy training records which will drive employee monthly training.
- Ensures onboarding Production training is conducted and continuously improved.
- Ensures Red Zone training is conducted during onboarding sessions, and continuously improved.
- Create, develop and implement new training as needed to support GMP’s.
- Assist Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager with investigating and recommending training for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with both employees and Supervisors.
- Researching and mastering the newest and innovative training methods.
Education and Experience Required:
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
