HX5 is currently seeking a Training Systems Engineer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Simulators Division at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in procurement, modification, and performance of B-52 Aircraft training devices and systems
Offer technical guidance in training system analysis, development, risk management, and hardware/software integration
Aid in the integration of visual, radar, infrared/electro-optic, and tactical environment systems for training devices
Contribute to the design and development of flight systems and dynamics modeling for simulation
Support networking and distributed operations of training systems, as well as systems engineering and cost estimation
Serve as a liaison for the Program Management Office during testing and simulation certification events
Assist with the information assurance for training device certification and manager concurrency issues, including budgeting and modifications
Help establish testing plans and procedures, enforce simulator standards, and evaluate new technologies for Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) and courseware
Education andExperience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, eight (8) years must be in the DoD.
ABET accredited engineering degree is recommended
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.
