In-house Associate Attorney (Corporate Transactional Law) - Carlsbad, CA
Amazing in-house opportunity in Carlsbad, CA! We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience, we will consider solid litigation attorneys seeking to transition into a transactional role, no transactional experience required. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside in the San Diego area and possess a minimum of 2 years of legal practice and no more than 3 years of overall experience as an attorney. We are in search of highly motivated professionals who exhibit initiative, thrive in independent work settings, and can seamlessly collaborate within a team. Please note that this is a fully in-person position in Carlsbad, CA.
Responsibilities will include: Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and revising various contracts such as licensing agreements and software agreements, internal research and drafting to support internal operations, legal research, analysis, and writing; some assistance with litigation; additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience as a licensed CA Attorney
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Possess strong legal research and analytic skills
- Excellent drafting/writing skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Detailed and flexible: excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills, work with limited supervision
- Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work independently as well as within a team
- Experience using a contracts management software
