Job Summary
The Transit and Storage Representative is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement and storage of goods. This role requires effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, as well as efficient storage solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Provide daily support to company drivers, addressing issues such as OSD reports, delays, appointment changes, and PO discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers via email and phone to build strong professional relationships and increase sales.
- Process incoming orders for product pickup and delivery.
- Handle daily operations, including storage inbox, order entry, appointment scheduling, inbound/outbound scheduling, receiving verification, inventory adjustments/holds, invoicing, consolidation programs, benchmarks, scanning, and other office-related duties.
- Cross-train with teammates for PTO coverage.
- Exhibit regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
