Transmission Line Design Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

We are currently seeking a skilled Transmission Line Design Engineer or Designer (non-degreed) to join our dynamic team. Our company specializes in providing engineering and design services for transmission line projects, ensuring the delivery of safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions. Position Summary: The Transmission Line Design Engineer/Designer will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise, engineering support, and oversight to our transmission engineering and design team. The primary focus will be on delivering efficient and effective transmission line design solutions while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize engineering and technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities to ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare thorough, accurate, and timely technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
• Continuously improve job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Understand and create transmission line drawing packages.
• Support company goals and maintain a positive and professional representation of the company.
• Interact with customers' internal engineers and technical personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Monitor deliverables, schedules, and present solutions to clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering (for degreed applicants).
• 3+ years of experience in electrical utility transmission line design, with working knowledge of High Voltage Transmission line design at 69V and higher.
• Technical competency in all aspects of Transmission Line utility design, including general arrangement and layout of structures, understanding of Line components, foundation design, grounding, lightning and shielding protection, sag and tension limits, etc.
• Proficiency in PLSCADD Line design software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Hourly Range:

• $34/hr. - $60/hr.

Shift and Hours:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
