THIS IS A FULLY QUALIFIED LINE MECHANIC POSITION :
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma supplemented by a one-year course in trade school or the equivalent; and the ability to climb transmission poles skillfully with Line Mechanic's climbers are required. The Fully-Qualified level requires successful completion of a Line Mechanic/Worker Time Merit Progression or Apprenticeship program, including at least five years experience in Transmission line construction, operation, and maintenance. The ability to direct the work of others when assigned is required. The selected candidate must be qualified to hold and possess a valid commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Must safely and skillfully perform the work of constructing, operating, and maintaining the transmission system. Experience performing "live-line work" at transmission voltages required. Individuals with "bare hand" experience preferred.
The salary range for this position starts at $51.55 and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
Position Description:
Individual must safely and skillfully perform the work of constructing, operating, and maintaining the transmission system.
Bargaining unit employees under the TEAL contract will be given first consideration. In addition, this position is being posted internally and externally.Candidates must successfully pass the written and the overhead agility assessments.
