Are you a veteran electrical engineer looking for a change of pace? Selectek is partnering with a company near downtown Atlanta, Georgia to find a Transmission Planning Engineer to join their team. This firm, which specializes in electrical utility distribution, is seeking someone with field experience who is looking for a new role with a long-term career path.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Atlanta, GA
Expected Pay Range: $110,000-$120,000 annual salary plus bonuses
This firm provides utility services to communities throughout Georgia and is looking to grow its colleague count in 2024.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, preferably Electrical.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the power industry or a similar engineering field
- Ideal candidates have experience working with power grid and substation design
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
- Perform transmission system and transmission area studies
- Propose system improvement projects
- Evaluate existing transmission facilities
- Review substation loads and operational history to determine/plan for maintenance
- Provide an update on yearly peak loads across transmission lines and substations
