Transplant Surgical ICU (TSICU) RNWe have partnered with a large clinical care provider in the Houston, TX area toprovide them with a Transplant Surgical ICU (TSICU) RN (in multiple areas)Job descriptionDelivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to the nursing skillsinventory and the age and needs of the patient/population served.Coordinates the planning for the delivery of nursing care with aninterdisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinical decisions in thedelivery of patient care.Collaborates with, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team in theattainment of positive outcomes based on data, research, evidence, andprofessional standards of care.Coordinates treatment plans; develops/implements discharge and/or transferplans.Participates in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation ofprograms, process improvement and desired client-centered outcomes.Considers the diverse needs of each patient through the entire continuum ofcare, providing and ensuring the highest level of service according toestablished service standards, optimizing the patient experience.Adheres to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.Performs other duties as assigned, within scope of practice and clinicalcompetency.Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all policies,procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including timemanagement, supply management, productivity and quality of service.Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirementsfor mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supportsdepartment-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization;serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.Requirements /Skills· Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursingpreferred· Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practiceprofessional nursing· Certified in Basic Life Support· Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursingunit requirements· Must have at least 1 year recent acute care experience· At least 1 year critical care experience(This is not a New Grad position*)· Transplant experience (liver, kidney, pancreas, abdominal), not required, butpreferred· Recent ICU experience preferredBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceRetirement PlanSalary: $88,000.00/year
