Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Transportation Designer to provide on-site staff augmentation at our client's location in Ewing, NJ. Tasks may include engineering support, work orders, review of permit applications as well as field visits and inspections. We are seeking an individual who can handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well in hybrid remote office environment. Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, attention to detail and ability to organize is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic engineering calculations and design skills
• Input and review permit applications  and plans for transportation improvement projects.
• Work under the guidance of experienced project engineers/managers
• Able to work on multiple design projects concurrently
• Flexible to work with other disciplines to provide support when needed

Qualifications

• 0 to 4 plus years of experience in the design of highway/roadway, civil engineering and transportation
• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification preferred
• Working knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, and OpenRoads are a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Knowledge of transportation design elements, standards, and constructability methods.
• Willing and capable of performing occasional field work and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
