Transportation Engineer - Entry Level - Ardurra Group, Inc.

Ardurra is seeking an Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic & Safety Team in Oviedo, FL!

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (full-time position) or anticipated graduation date Spring 2025 or earlier (part-time or full-time internship)
• EI/EIT certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 0-2 years of previous transportation engineering work experience (internships or post-graduation)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
• Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in the development of traffic operations design plans, including signing and pavement marking plans, signalization, lighting, and ITS plans
• Support Project Managers in the development of transportation/traffic studies such as intersection and corridor safety studies, traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, pedestrian and bicycle safety studies, and support PD&E studies.
• Use specialized traffic engineering computer software to conduct traffic operations and capacity analysis, such as HCS, Synchro, and SIDRA.
• Work in MicroStation CAD design software
• Prepare design concepts, quantities, and cost estimates
• Prepare detailed reports, maps, figures and exhibits
• Attend public meetings and community workshops
• Conduct field reviews, existing condition assessment, system inventory, and proposed improvement design development
• Application of FDOT standards during study, concept, and plans preparation
