About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a transportation engineer in our Milwaukee, Janesville, or Burlington, WI offices. This position will primarily consist of design engineering efforts on a variety of transportation projects for State, County, and Local Agencies. A knowledge of designing roadway, drainage, and underground improvements with Civil 3D is preferred. This team-orientated position will include working with Baxter & Woodman’s diverse disciplines and offices.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Design Roadway, Drainage, Underground Utility, and Infrastructure improvements using Civil 3D.
- Conduct drainage, traffic, and various engineering studies.
- Complete general civil engineering services for municipal, county and state clients.
- Complete engineering plans and specifications using DOT Standards.
- Assist senior staff with client management, project pursuits, and business development.
- Assist project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery.
Education/License Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- E.I.T (Engineer in Training) required.
Must-haves, what you will bring
- At least 2 years of relevant job experience working on municipal or highway agency transportation projects.
- Work within a team-first culture that encourages individual development and accomplishment of goals.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s service area (own transportation).
- Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- P.E. license preferred but not required.
Compensation - The pay range for this role is $74,880 - $93,600. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
