Transportation Engineer, PE - Gpac

Job description

This mid to senior level civil engineer will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects. The candidate will work mostly under the direction of a senior project manager on transportation projects. You will have the opportunity to manage smaller transportation assignments to help grow your project management skills to manage larger projects over time and expand your professional career. 

Responsibilities

• Lead plan production efforts for transportation projects for local municipalities and ODOT using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Interact with our clients; local municipalities, ODOT, contractors, and other consulting companies.
• Develop project budgets/schedules.
• Develop technical proposals.
• Prepare quantities and construction cost estimates for bidding.
• Work closely with other technical staff within Choice One Engineering and with peers in the industry to provide transportation design and consulting engineering services, primarily for local municipalities and ODOT.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• P.E. license or in the process of obtaining P.E. license within 6 months of being hired
• 4+ years experience in transportation design (e.g. roadways, public utilities, traffic, etc.)
• Very responsive and a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
• Continuous learning mindset
• Working proficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
